I love working out to 80’s music. Love it.
Tonight I was listening to one of 21 personally created 80’s mix cds (Nik’s 80’s Mix Collection – ohmigod they’re like soooo totally rad!) when I happened upon the song “Life In A Northern Town” by The Dream Academy.
This one song took me back to a very vivid memory of me and Stephie Pfleiger riding on the school bus, sharing a pair of headphones, melting as we listened and softly sang along (hey oh ma ma maaaa bay doot en I yaaah).
I remember her frizzy hair brushing against my cheek as we strained to share the headset. I remember her rosy cheeks, her slight lisp and her gold-tone eyeglasses. And I remember her breath smelled like oatmeal. Every morning. I don’t know if she ate oatmeal every morning but I once pointed out the fact to her to which, insulted, she replied: “I brushed my teeth!”
So where is this trip down Nostalgia Lane leading, you ask?
I think I'm gonna buy some oatmeal.

You are so funny! :)
I need to start eating oatmeal myself. For the last two weeks I've been having Fruity Pebbles for breakfast. I doubt that's very nutritious.
