After a disappointing weigh-in, a bit of binge eating and a rather dark diary entry last night, I decided I need some help here. I joined Weight Watchers today. I don't know how successful I'll be but the plan they offer is essentially what has helped me succeed in that past: food journaling. Also, I'm hoping the weekly meetings will offer the motivation and support I need to keep me from crashing. I keep reading/hearing about people who have long-term weight loss via Weight Watchers so I figured, what the hell.
I also bought a pedometer today. Well, I ordered it on Amazon so it won't be here for a few days but, the one I purchased received a pretty good review in Good Housekeeping and it comes with software to track progress. This will be especially helpful in counting off the miles to London. I originally thought I would just track my treadmill miles but then I reconsidered. Here's the spin: If I use all my walking, I will be motivated to walk more throughout the entire day rather than just for longer periods on the treadmill. Seems logical.
My dogs are barking a bit today but they are muzzled compared to the HOWLING in my thighs. I truly believe that lunges are the devil's dance moves. Burn, baby, burn. This sucks. I'm taking the day off as a far as the treadmill is concerned. I might still do a little yoga tonight (well, wii fit yoga, so I guess more like yogette) but that's it.
